ESPN airs DC long shot
The Dayton Christian boys basketball team has gone national.
Casey Weber’s 90-foot swish in last Friday’s sectional 63-46 defeat of Arcanum at UD Arena has truely evolved into “the shot heard ‘round the world.”
ESPN News aired the bomb at 6:27 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. ESPN’s Sports Center followed soon afterward.
As a bonus, SC also aired the WDTN video of Weber reprising the magic moment during Monday’s practice. He bombed out on his second attempt from about 80 feet at the Far Hills Community Church gymnasium.

Hey, Josh, wake up & smell the coffee. It was a full-court, 90-foot shot captured on film and embraced by ESPN. Be happy for Casey Weber and the Dayton Christian Warriors’ program. DC’s 17-point lead had slipped to 11. Had Arcanum made its 3-pointer with 6 seconds to go, the spread would’ve been 8. Weber’s bomb sent the Warriors’ lead to 14, giving them the momentum they needed to win comfortably. It was a big shot by Weber, DC’s “Mr. Big Shot.” Thank you for reading the High School Huddle. Hey Chick, thanks for standing up for Casey and DC’s Basketball team. It is a huge thing for us (I am not an Alumnus) “small private school goers” to make it so far and do so well. We are all incredibly proud of Casey and the entire boy basketball team. They have done an awesome job this season and they should get credit for it. Peace, former DC student.By Tiernae Salley

I meant to say - I am now an Alumnus.
