What game are you going to?
There’s a full slate of high school boys basketball games for Friday, Dec. 12, making for some tough choices. I’ll be at the Centerville vs. Northmont game.
It should be a good Greater Western Ohio Conference clash, but I have to admit I’m not sure what to expect from the 1-0 teams. Centerville handed Butler a 77-27 loss for its win. Northmont beat Piqua 72-65.
Stopping 6-foot-10 senior center Matt Kavanaugh is the challenge for Northmont. The Thunderbolts will likely call on 6-5 junior forwards Zach Newsome and Aaron Montgomery.
Also keep an eye on the T-Bolts’ 6-5 guard Kevin Tolle. He had team-highs in points (15), rebounds (12) and added three assists in the win over the Indians.
What game will you be at this weekend?

I have seen 9 HS games so far this season and will taking thr trip to fayette County tnoight for the cross county rivalry between Washington Court House and Mimai Trace. Not usually very good basketball, but a very good small town macthup as far as intensity goes.By Greg Billing

Just curious 12penguins, but what is the best team you’ve seen so far? I love small-town basketball. The enthusiasm and rabid support is tough to match, while the gyms are cozy. And speaking of small-ball, there’s a great one Saturday: Anna is at New Knoxville in boys hoops.By rodney

I went to Trurgood Marshall game on 12/13/08. As you see by the score, they won by 31 points. The last two minutes of the game Juwaun Staton was pulled out and I will assume it was JV players put in. He was on the bench throwing a fit. Then when the game was over he pulled his jersey off and yelled “I do not want to play with this “beep” team. For being ranked in the nation or whereever and whatever he is ranked in, I was appalled. I heard he does that all the time at games.
