I’m pretty sure the black and orange wrapped candies are Peanut Butter Kisses. Mary Janes are rectangular and come in yellow wrappers that say Mary Jane.

I despise all candies and foods that contain peanut products due to my son’s severe peanut allergy. It’s a very scary time of year for us to deal with because of the dangers he faces. We could lock him up in a bubble but what fun is that? We try to let him experience as much as any regular kid does.

I never liked getting Dum-Dums because they were the sucker we got at the bank, the doctor, etc. In other words, they were an every day candy

We had a neighbor that would hand out a walnut with a Bible scripture taped to it. If it had been candy, kids might have read the scripture. The day after beggar’s night, their yard was filled with tossed walnuts and Bible scripture.

Bit-O-Honey and the peanut butter orange and black wrapped candies are the worst. I always traded them or gave them away to my brother or sister. Give me Tootsie Rolls any day of the week!

i think black licorice was the worst. it is worse for me because i am a type-1 diabetic (been one for 17 yrs.) so technically all candy is bad.

Well it looks like I’m in the minority, but I LOVE black licorice!!! I used to hate getting anykind of off brand bubble gum on Halloween. It was always hard as a rock, and a horrible flavor!

I considered this survey slightly different. The only thing that is bad that we hate to get is anything we have to throw away… IE: popcorn balls, apples, such things go to the trash immediately. Anything else… well, if you don’t like it, there’s 5 of us, someone else is bound to want it. I hate black licorice, but my mom loves it! My daughter hates circus peanuts, but I love them! Fair share for walking around with them all night. hehe
