Kroger’s Moonlight Madness means bags of candy for $1.47
For 8 hours only tomorrow (Tuesday, Oct. 28), Kroger stores will host Moonlight Madness from 4 p.m. - midnight. You can stock up on candy for the trick-or-treaters or get the goodies for your party (or just stock your cupboard and freezer!) for some pretty reasonable prices.
During those hours they’ll have a costume contest for kids, trick or treat street, free cider and donuts, pumpkin carving contest and a sampling fest through the store.
Specials include (all specials valid with Kroger plus card):
9-16 oz Bags of Fun Size or Snack Size Nestle, Hershey’s or Mars Halloween Candy for $1.47 (limit of 10), Tombstone pizzas for $1.99 (limit 4), Fritos or Cheetos for $1.27 (limit 4) and more. See the full ad (Moonlight Madness info on pg. 6-7)

This was such a joke. I took my kids to the Kroger in Sidney for the Moonlight Madness. They did not have trick or treat, there were no free donuts, and there were only 2 samples. My 7 year old is very disapointed.

To Stacie, That’s too bad. The Kroger in Centerville had cider, donuts, and some other samples sitting out, and candy for the kids.

Stacie: I’m with you. My Kroger lacked most of the advertised fun as well. Most of the sale items were still available, but not all of them. Hopefully they’ll work things out better for next year if they do this again.

What a marvelous post! I am just a beginner in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well - resources like this blog are very helpful. As our company is based in the U.S., it’s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own actual enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case.
