Wilson student creates book cabinet
Jonah Frisch, an eighth grader at Wilson Middle School, stands proudly next to the cabinet he built for a book project in his Honors Language Arts class.
After reading “The Lightning Thief,” Frisch recreated several scenes from the story, each on a different level of the cabinet.

Wilson students send jeans to Haiti
Students at Wilson Middle School (Lincoln Grade 8) collected over 350 pairs of jeans to be sent to Haiti as part of their Clean Jean Campaign service project. The school combined efforts with Matthew 25 Ministries to ship the jeans to Haiti.

Souvenir bricks will be available from demolished schools
Beginning July 5, persons may take bricks from the designated areas of Cleveland, Fillmore and Harrison elementary schools as a remembrance of their elementary school days.
Bricks will be available for two weeks outside of the fencing area as the buildings will be torn down to prepare the sites for playground and parking areas for the three new schools, according to district spokesperson Joni Copas.
