Morgan Elementary holds spelling bee
On Wednesday, May 19, Morgan Elementary hosted its 20th annual school-wide spelling bee.
Students in grades three through five participated in the event.
Third Grade representatives were Olivia Clayton, Eric Sierra and Jacob Kahman. Fourth Grade participants included Josh Toney, Taylor Kessan, Eric Dietrich and Jacob Emenaker. Fifth Grade representatives were Cole Swanson, Cassidy Curtis, Mallory Baum and Frankie Gonzalez.
First place went to Cassidy Curtis, first runner up was Cole Swanson, and second runner up was Jacob Kahman.

Hamilton grads receives regional Tech Prep honors

The Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium has named Nicholas Lambert, above, Hamilton High School class of 2010, Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep student of the year.
Sam Bachmann, Tech Prep Engineering Design student in Mike Smith’s class, was runner-up in his category. Both received a monetary gift for college.
Lambert plans to attend Cincinnati State in the fall and Bachmann plans to attend the University of Cincinnati majoring in Aerospace.
“This award also recognizes that students in Career Technical Education at Hamilton High School can compete in various platforms with students who attend much larger Career Centers like Butler Tech and Great Oaks, ” said Doug Leist, director of career and technical education. “We are extremely proud of these two young men and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.”
The students were honored at the annual Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium banquet, held Monday, April 26.
