Cleveland teachers sprout beards

The Cleveland Elementary Student Council is conducting a “Build a Beard” Holiday project.

For 25 cents, students can buy a piece of beard (cotton ball) to add to their favorite teacher’s “beard” on photos posted in the hallway.

The staff member who has the longest beard by Dec. 17 will have to wear a Santa suit for the day.

“All proceeds will be used to help our ‘adopted’ families with Christmas wish lists,” said principal Pamela Rowe.
