Ridgeway Elementary holds Fall Festival

Students from Ridgeway Elementary and their families endured the chilly fall weather for the first Fall Festival at the new school, enjoying a pumpkin carving display, a petting zoo and a performance by the Madcap Puppet Theatre. Above, third-grader Ariana Avery makes a peanut-butter and pine cone bird feeder.

Tyler Tripoli joins Pete Davidson in a drum circle.

Fifth grader Haley Davis takes a peek at the horizon in the school’s 8-inch telescope. Terry Haynes-Toney, the school’s visual arts instructor and resident astronomer, will also be taking the instrument to the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra’s Tillmannn Concert on Saturday when the orchestra will present “The Planets.” Click here for more information on that free concert.
