Immanuel Lutheran School holds yard sale fundraiser, Oct. 17

Hamilton Immanuel Lutheran School’s PTL is hosting an arts and craft fundraiser to benefit student activities and to give the community a chance to see their school.

The event will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at the school, 1285 Main St. Hamilton.

Vendors featured will be selling photography, wreaths, jewelry, lighted glass blocks, dolls, barrettes, candles, stamps, purses and more. In addition, the kitchen will be open and serving some delicious treats throughout the day

“The art and craft fair will benefit Immanuel Lutheran School’s Parent Teacher League, said principal Mike Mayo in a press release. “The Parent Teacher League assists the school with things tuition does not cover but are beneficial to the students.”

The PTL has also been instrumental in community service, serving a free meal at Open House, and taking a major responsibility for several different “appreciation” events throughout the year, such as Grandparents’ Day, Teachers’ Appreciation week, and Pastors’ Appreciation Day.

“We believe that one of the major goals of an elementary/middle school is to teach children how to learn. In addition, we also believe that learning, even though it is hard work, can be fun,” Mayo said.
