Suspected Drug Mart robber caught in Tennessee

BELLBROOK — Police have arrested a “person of interest” in Tennessee, they believe was involved in the armed robbery of a local drug store.

Brian Tweed, 32, of Bright Bounty Lane, Washington Twp. in Montgomery County, was arrested Nov. 28 after a series of armed robberies in the Knoxville, Tenn. area, said Bellbrook Police Detective Keith Salyers.

During an interrogation by Tennessee authorities, Tweed admitted to the Sept. 9 robbery of the Bellbrook Drug Mart as well as holdups in Washington Twp. and Springboro, Salyers said.

Tweed also is wanted in Montgomery County on a drug arrest warrant. The Ohio robbery cases will be part of a seven-count federal case filed against Tweed that will include the four Tennessee robberies, police said.

Let’s get this slimer and put him the slammer for a long time. Maybe we should boo-hoo for him because he has a drug habit.

Can you hear them now? All the government agencies, feeding at the taxpayers trough, wanting another location be opened for losers that rob pharmacies. What ever happened to accountability?
