Mickey Perry scored 16 points, Kurt Huelsman 15, Luke Fabrizius and Chris Johnson 14 each and Paul Williams 11 to lead Dayton to an 88-73 exhibition win over Ferris State on Tuesday.

Johnson, a 6-foot-6 sophomore, also had nine rebounds and four assists.

It is going to be very hard to deny a much improved C. Johnson a starting role in the line-up after his performance tonight,he will play a huge part of the winning season ahead as will Luke,Mickey and Paul.Wonder how good this team can be next week with a healthy roster…I think Matt K. might have had a few freshman jitters but I beleive when the regular season begins he’ll be ready to contribute..Kurt’s spin move to the basket shows he will be more of an offenive threat and may assure that teams can ill afford to double/team Wright, while Luke’s presance will make team’s leary fo playing a zone defence..
