Moms not amused by youngsters’ museum antics
A mother called police Tuesday night to say her young son and two of his buddies broke into the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery.
Officers were dispatch to see if the children’s museum had, in fact, been entered and what damage might have been done.
The officers found the back door unlocked with no apparent damage to the door. While the officers were checking the building, another mother called police to say her son was involved in some mischief at the museum. That boy told his mother the museum doors were unlocked.
After interviewing the three, police determined the boys entered the museum, spent some time looking around, went to the gift shop and stole a quantity of silly bands — thin elastic bracelets that are all the rage among the youngster.
The boys fessed up and apologized to a museum official. The museum chose not to press charges.
No word, however, on what punishment the boys may face at home.
