Man exposed himself to kids, defecated on lawn, police say
DAYTON - A 52-year-old homeless man is facing three misdemeanor charges after a high school friend said he exposed himself to her grandchildren and then defecated on her lawn Tuesday, April 13.
Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Gettysburg Avenue about 8 p.m. where Vogalinde Parker, 50, said Ronald Howard had just left her yard after having a “bowel movement,” according to a police report.
Officers found Howard a short time later and when told why he was being arrested, he said “I can’t believe she called the police for that,” the report stated. Officers did find evidence Howard relieved himself on the lawn.
Howard said he stays at the Gettysburg Gateway for Men shelter nearby and didn’t think he could make it to the bathroom there, the report stated. Parker said she was working in her yard when her two grandchildren started screaming, “He’s having a B.M (bowel movement)! He’s having a B.M.,” the report stated.
Despite being told to leave, Howard did not vacate the yard until he was finished relieving himself, the report stated. He faces misdemeanor charges of public indecency, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, according to jail records.
