Woman tells police mom stabbed her in eye with towel rack
DAYTON - A 46-year-old mother faces felony assault and domestic violence charges after her daughters told police she stabbed one of them in the eye with a towel rack.
Officers responded to the 2100 block of Park Hill Drive about 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, where they found a daughter of Robin Y. Crowder bleeding from the head, according to a police report.
Her daughters, both in their 20s, said they went to an east-side bar to get Crowder after someone at the bar called them and said Crowder had too much to drink and needed to leave, the report stated.
When the women got Crowder home, she started arguing with them, using derogatory words directed at her daughters, the report stated.
Crowder then attacked one of her daughters and grabbed a towel rack bracket, the women told police. Crowder then stabbed one of her daughters in the eye and head with the object, the report stated.
Neither daughter was seriously injured and Crowder was taken to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. A court date has not been set.
