4th grader collecting shoes for other children

Meg Schwieterman is a fourth grader at Incarnation School who has a desire to help children who need a good pair of shoes. She puts it this way, “Each year my school has a gym shoe drive for the kids in Graham, Ky., a poor community.” She said, “I am upset because this year we have only collected 30 pair of shoes when we usually have 200.” Meg has been calling shoe stores and department stores, and has not experienced good luck in her search. She is looking for new shoes, sized for children of all ages. “Everyone deserves a pair of shoes,” Meg said. “Please help me collect at least 10 more pair of shoes.” If you can help, get in touch with me and I will forward your message to Meg.

Mr. Huffman, thank you so much for putting this on your blog! I wanted to tell you that we are also donating new undershirts, socks and underwear to the children in Grahn. This Tuesday is the last collection day. Thanks again for your help and Happy Thanksgiving!

Ah, yes, teaching them how to mooch money and take money instead of make money, smile and be cute and act sweet to hustle before using government muscle.

Mr. Harrison, It is lessons learned on how to help others that keeps the government from being able to encroach upon our liberties. Without service projects where individuals step up to help fill the gap, it is much easier for the government to try and convince us they have no choice but to step in and do it all.

Blah, blah, blah…I tell them, despite these give-back media ‘hos: “NO!” We have to finally do likewise with these tax-taking government gals and guys, since we have lost those old blue-collar dollars that spoiled them.

Take your negativity elsewhere, sir. I know this child, and in addition to contacting Mr. Huffman, she stuffed envelopes in a local business to raise funds to buy shoes for other children. Now that’s what I call integrity. Making cynical comments about a little girl’s efforts to help others? Now that’s what I call cowardice. Take it elsewhere.

Boo hoo, you cannot tell me what to do, even in this cyber-space play place. Government, like spoiled children, might finally have to learn that they are out of luck because there just aren’t any more blue-collar bucks, and it ain’t hatin’ to quit makin’ or fakin’ donations. Fell free to donate for me.

This is a wonderful thing this girl is doing. In case you all don’t know it, Leon Harrison is somewhat of a crack pot.
