Gas is going down, down, down!
In light of my fellow blogger Rusty’s gas find I have to mention what I’ve been seeing around Butler county for the past couple of days.
In Fairfield, at the Marathon on Ohio 4 at Nilles I saw a gallon of unleaded regular for $1.99.9! Yeah! Welcome to the 21st century. I cheer when gas goes barely under $2.00 a gallon. It is also $1.99.9 at the BP on High Street in Hamilton.
Now, here is my question, for all of you who are much smarter than me:
If gasoline at the pumps is going down, why are we going to have to pay so much to heat with gas this winter? I have a friend in the business who said that the gas we heat with actually takes less processing so it should really be cheaper. Anyway, if you have an idea, I’d love your input.
Following up from my traffic note of yesterday, Ohio 4 at Bobmeyer Road has gotten even worse. I sat for 30 minutes in that mess last night (not following my own blogging advice!) as crews continued to dig up the road.
Bobmeyer is also closed at Ohio 4, so there is really no reason to use that way to Fairfield from Hamilton. Please heed my advice, and save yourself time by using Ohio 127.
Other than that just play it safe today. I hear winds are going to be over 40 mph as we say goodbye to summer and hello to November!

Even though I’m in Calif. now, thought I’d comment on the road construction. Out here road construction takes place very late at night under big lights. Makes the commute so much better!!(Former Hamiltonian born and bred.)By teri horsley

Pam: Thanks for your comments. I wish they would start doing late night construction here in Hamilton. They do in Cincinnati. Glad your still keeping in touch with your Hamilton roots, although lucky you to live in California!
