It might not be Wilma, but the rain is causing havoc anyway

Today was a mess, traffic wise. Every time I got out of the mess of one wreck, I entered another. My first tie up came at 4:50 p.m. on By-Pass 4 just south of Symmes Road. I mention the time, because if you use the By-Pass during the evening rush, you know that in and of itself is a challenging drive. I typically will use Ohio 4 or Ohio 127 before heading that way, but not today! The three car crash had traffic tied up from Symmes Road all the way back to Ohio 4 in Fairfield! We sat and sat and then sat some more.

Finally I got around the wreck only to end up in light construction on Symmes. Proceeding north on the By-Pass I finally hit Ohio 129 and went into Hamilton. It was in the middle of downtown, at High and Third street that I hit wreck number two! Again, High Street at 5:00 is typically slow, but it was stopped today!

Now I should also mention that prior to these two tie ups I had gotten stuck behind the largest funeral procession I had ever seen. I’m not complaining about this, it was just such a bad day that I felt sorry for those involved.

It took me almost 45 minutes to come from Fairfield to Hamilton’s west side, which is usually 20 minutes tops.

I hope tomorrow is sunny, because I have to go to Preble County and at this rate, it may take me hours to get there!

I hope your day on the roads was better than mine!
