Early shift — a slice of heaven!
Well, 7 to 4 is a slice of heaven!
As long as I leave my house by 6:15, I’m in good shape as far as getting to work on time. When I came in at 8:00, I had to be on the highway by 7:00 or maybe be late.
I also found out that my insurance company does give a discount if you car pool. I’m checking into the specifics of that because my boss and my former pooling buddy may change their hours as well.
It’s hard to believe that only one hour can lead to such a difference in time. Going home, the time savings isn’t as great, but the drive is much more comfortable than when I left at 5:00. I can count on being home in an hour now. Before, maybe an hour, maybe an hour and a half.
Traffic is still fairly thick coming in. I guess I’m just beating all of the really bad drivers on the road! Or there are simply fewer bad drivers. I don’t know.
Maybe I’ll ask if I can come in for 6:00. Hmmm … Naw.
