We the people, need local leadership to change their perspective from running the city/county like a “for-profit” business to making decisions based on the quality of life of its citizens.

No, Phil Man, $10/hr requires two jobs at that rate just to make ends meet in today’s economy. Check the grocery and gas prices- $100 bucks goes just like that. We need high tech jobs like research, fiber optics, various communication technologies, defense contract suppliers and other opportunities for the people so that they may afford a decent life. No more “industrial park- $8/hour” crap.

And to “Phil Man”: I live in Middletown, and I do hate it, but your elitest attitude is why we’ll never get any better. We actually do have some decent people living here, and the north-end isn’t so bad. I think I still might prefer it over the money-hungry Lakota areas and the likes.

We’re not great, but there is no need for name-calling. As for Monroe, just the one tiny bit of area near 75 is their only problem.

Get over yourself!

How about some of that farmland back?!? We keep developing more and more land, knocking down trees (trees that clean our air, by the way), and we’re forced to import foods resulting in more cases of e.coli because its quantity over quality. Most of our foods are manufactured in a lab and use [evil] high fructose corn syrup that is affecting everyone’s health.

I am ashamed that we don’t support our local farms. Its hard enough when weather doesn’t cooperate and you get a bad crop.

Take down the signs pointing to Monroe and Middletown would benefit everyone. Maybe we’d forget that those two outhouses are so close to the rest of civilized society.

$10.00 an hour isn’t bad. Exactly what entitles you to more than that? Are you in a union or something?

No SunCoke for starters. I want my children to breath clean air and be healthy. Keep fighting Lisa!
