And you finally get to a consensus, where you manoeuvre a drift of what really ought to be done, and then they entrust it to me and then I unholster it. I mean draw it in the sentiment, the philosophical sense.
And you in the long run have to a consensus, where you turn someone on a judgement of what unqualifiedly ought to be done, and then they entrust it to me and then I draw it. I utilizing a instrument draw it in the brains, the philosophical sense.

Concerned taxpayer yes I am leaning towards Mccain simply because Mr.Obama leaves a lot of things up in the air he is great at making speaches etc…but it seems he is not telling us how he is going about making all these changes and sounds like he is just full of hot air.Obama I feel is like unchartered waters at least with Mccain we know what we are getting even though I do not agree with some of it,over all I feel he is the best choice out of the two.We need a third party choice.
Students should go to the school in the district they live in. If the parents don’t want that they can take their students themselves and pay for the gas. This is reimbursed in some districts. They could also move.
MOUTH mccain could do some really great things if he could get out of his own way …..FOR AN EXAMPLE: in a recent speech, he said it isn’t fair that present day workers won’t get social security that they are forced to pay…..if the federal government were forced to repay the money that was borrowed to fund all sort of ridicules programs there would be money to sustain ss payments forever……
Fedup - Again, you have your facts wrong. Mccain promises immigration reform is a first 100 day goal. I will conceded he is vague in some areas, but you can’t go around putting words in his mouth! He doesn’t promise another guest worker program. As part of his reform, he said any guest worker program must be ‘…verifiable and truly temporary.’ Which I’m fine with. I understand you are pushing your agenda, which I probably agree with 90% of. However, you lose your credibility when you aren’t using facts. Both candidates still haven’t been completely transparent with their immigration reform plans, but by and large, whose plan would you rather have? I’m leaning towards McCain’s because I’m afraid how far Obama would go.
Concerned Taxpayer my mistake it was not the la raza convention that mccain made his promise to it was the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials and her is a link to what he said…http://tinyurl.com/6knrpn
and a youtube video…http://tinyurl.com/5pgv7u
His top priority ? and promising another guest worker program ? we allready have 10 guest worker programs…listen to his pandering on the video its disgusting.
Concerned tax payer if the illegal immigrants went home and applied for visas the way that every one else that comes here legally does and while being processed they stay in thier countries and waited like every other legal immigrant to this country does then I would be ok with that as long as they did not commit any felonies or other crimes.I feel that people who break our laws by coming here illegaly have a lot less respect for our country and what it means than those that play by the rules.
Fedup - I think we share some common ground on immigration reform - secure the borders, stop/penalize companies that hire illegals, enforcement of current law, no amnesty, etc etc. However, you and at least one of the websites you mentioned are wrong about McCain making amnesty a goal for the 1st 100 days in office. He said no such thing to la raza. READ THE TRANSCRIPT!! Amnesty is letting everyone stay - something I strongly oppose. I also oppose setting a path to citizenship that involves letting them stay. However, if illegals are deported/sent home and made to go to the back of the line to then apply to enter the country legally, would you call that amnesty too? I wouldn’t. I would call that legal immigration, something I’m fine with. Seriously, I’m against illegal immigration just as much as the next guy, but you need to get your facts straight. McCain talked around his plans without much details, but he did not say he supported amnesty!
Parrot you do not know why the dr asked you that.I would find it odd that an educated person would think like you are suggesting.you should have asked him why he thought that.I get that all the time people see that I am white and automaticly assume certain things about me…do I need to tell you what they are ? I didn’t think so does that make them racist ? Its just a case of them not knowing me,besides where is this file room job I know a few people that could use a job and they are white…
After reading all of this, doesn’t it seem strange that NO ONE is talking about the U.S.Constitution or laws anywhere in this article. As far as I am concerned the government is separating you with racism and any issues, so, they don’t have to own up to what is happening to further the corporations, NAU/SPP that is happening right under your nose. Just keep playing their game as this country goes under.
“I had to get a physical at my current job and the doctor on site asked me was I going to be working in the file room? Why was the assumption made that I was only capable of working in the file room when several positions exists within the organization?”
Why would you assume this was a racist question? If you are overweight, this would be a hard position. If you have allergies, this could create problems. Why not ask the Physician why the question instead of assuming the answer.
to peanuthead: it’s true that irish americans were discrimanated against, and used as fodder in factories before any laws were enacted to protect them, but saying “a slave was worth something… an irishman nothing” and “the irish were treated worse” is just plain wrong. Slaves were considered subhuman. The Irish could at least own land and be protected under the law. You say you can’t make up the past, but claiming that “the irish had it worse than slaves” seems to be doing just that.
What many seem to forget is this country was founded by people fleeing countries where they were not free and abused. They suffered as well even though they may have had white skin. Slaves were brought from Africa to all around the world….not just America. All white people didn’t own slaves or believe it was right either. I’m part Irish and it was known Irish were treated worse than blacks. A slave was worth something…..an Irishman nothing. You can’t make-up for the past, only learn
concerned tax payer what part of illegal do you not under stand any one who broke our laws and then gets a path to citizenship is indeed amnesty no matter how you look at it these people came here breaking our laws stealing our identities to take american jobs.people like you try to distort the truth because you think americans are too stupid to decifer the truth for themselves.we need to secure our borders, stop the ability to work here if you arent here legaly and the illegals will go home.
Concerned tax payer: mccain did promise la raza his top priority would be giving illegals a path to citizen ship he said he would make amnesty his top priority and obama has said the same thing in past and present speaches.and again you are trying to combine together legal and illegal immigrants they are two differents categories and I am not oposed to the legal immigrants in this country.if any of you are fed up with this non sense please visit www.numbersusa.com or www.alipac.us for real facts
Fedup, read the text of his speech to la raza. You will see he did no such thing. I’ll admit he tiptoed around his exact approach to deal with immigration reform, but he never said anything about amnesty or legalizing the illegals already here. Remember - there is a HUGE difference between blanket anmesty and a path to legalizing immigrants. (i.e. having to return to their country of origin and get in line and legally request entry)
To concerned taxpayer: also both of these candidates are making legalization of 20-40 million illegal immigrants a top priority in thier 1st 100 days of office.allmost all of these people will be bringing thier families here as well.and most of them will be getting benefits paid for by…you guessed it american taxpayers such as section 8 housing, medical cards, food stamps, free college tuition and the list goes on and on.talk about leaving a bill for our grand kids who is going to pay for it ?
To concerned taxpayer:you say “McCain is about cutting spending as not to mortgage our kids future, and about making sure everyone has equal “opportunity” and choice for education, prosperity, jobs, economic growth, and healthcare.”
But on the other hand mccain has promised la raza (a hispanic group like the naacp)that he will make legalization of 20-40 million illegal immigrants his top priority??
I encourage everyone to read the full text of both Obama’s and McCain’s speech to the NAACP. There are obviously some stark differences, between the two. McCain is about cutting spending as not to mortgage our kids future, and about making sure everyone has equal “opportunity” and choice for education, prosperity, jobs, economic growth, and healthcare. Obama on the other hand was quick to blame CEO’s and corporate America, increase the EITC (IRS administered welfare program), and wants education provided for everyone from birth thru college. My own take is that contrary to what Obama says and most people think, no one owes you anything – absolutely nothing. The only thing you are due is equal opportunity. Equal opportunity to succeed or to fail. McCain is for providing that opportunity for everyone, Obama is for skipping the opportunity part and promising that you are owed something at taxpayer expense. Who do you want running the gov’t?
And oh yes as far as learning history goes KAF if you knew yours you would know that it was africans that helped the slave traders capture other africans to bring to America in chains maybe american blacks should look there for reparations as well.
KAF your comments show who the racist is (you) here is my apology I am sorry that whites brought africans here and enslaved them I wish that part of our history wasn’t true but it is.
If you want an example of racism just look at how blacks voted in the democratic primary 95% for obama and less then 5% for clinton (whos husband did more for blacks then any president has for a long time).the haspanics just passed blacks as the largest minority so on the back burner you go lol.
It seems instead of uniting all Americans these two candiidates and political parties as well as the main stream media have done more to seperate america into small inclusive groups then any time in our history.
with this kind of mentality then white working class Americans need to start considering a group for us such as naacp and laraza is to thier respective minorities we need some representation we obviously havn’t been getting any.
Those who do not know history are unable to learn from it. People were brought from Africa in chains, treated like animals, and regarded as subhuman. Even after their supposed emancipation they were prevented from voting, terrorized by the “law”, ignored by the judicial system, and given little access to property and education. The idea that the effects of this racism do not linger today is absurd. Many of the comments here are evidence that racism is alive and well in 21st century America. Every white American knows this racism exists. Most are simply unwilling to admit it. For those who “know” American history, I suggest reading Slavery by Another Name: The Re-enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II. The author, Doug Blackmon, is a white, Wall Street Journal bureau chief. After reading this, I am convinced that the U.S. needs to formally apologize for this nation’s treatment of African Americans, and provide some type of reparations (along with many states and industries).
Senator McCain knew he would not garner votes but he went to show his respect for all Americans.
We needed the Civil Righs movement. We needed Affirmative Action. Now it is time for all to step up to the plate and be responsible, regardless of color.
It is funny, the only racisim I ever see is against white men. Affirmative Action creates an unlevel playing field where minorities have a an advantage over white Americans, all else being equal, why? Because if you don’t hire the minority candidate and hire the white guy you get sued. The white guy can’t sue you because he is the “mean, bad oppressor.” Blacks talk equality but get pissed when they don’t get special treatment. Obama is the same way.
McCain also recently spoke in front of the National Council of La Raza (“The Race”). Weren’t we warned about “hyphenated Americanism”, of becoming a country of “squabbling nationalities”? Meanwhile, politicians on both sides sell the country out for votes. The two party system is outdated and irrelevant…time for some actual change.
Obama’s campaign shows that racism in the black community is alive and nasty. I am appalled how Democrats turned their backs on the Clinton’s for skin color and slick talk. I can’t vote for Obama, my children are watching. I’ve taught them that racism is wrong and I intend to walk my talk. Let’s lose the Civil Rights Act and Affirmative Action and let humans compete equally. When black folks make the progress against racism that whites have maybe we’ll have something to discuss. We’ve been had.
McCain was the bigger uniter of the Nation by attending this event. Of course he probably did not win many votes, but kudos to the NAACP audience for listening. It is heartening that a largely African American group is willing to listen to the candidate from the party responsible for racial equality. I am not sure why writer William Hershey described Obama’s speech as “historic”. Other African Americans have run for president in the past.
Oh yes and to address Mr Bonds comments he made to the naacp conference when he said that a black president wouldnt be a big enough clue that racism was ending in America. Now just think of how many of these so called leaders would be out of jobs and might actualy have to work for a living if they did not keep the racism legend going.people such as jesse jackson,al sharpton and any others my memory can not come up with at this time would all be out of a job.
In short I just wish that either one of these candidates would just concentrate on representing all Americans and not just special groups this will do nothing but divide us and it allready has.Mr Obama is a great speaker but I am afraid his changes will not be the ones that most people want.Mr Mccain is not any better so we can clear up the race issue and yes I am white I love my religion and my guns btw.
“indigneous people of the americas”? that includes people not of the united states…I am assuming that you think these are entitled to all migrate here legal or illegal ? and I guess that American citizens are expected to finance thier housing, education, medical care with our tax money ? because thats excactly what is happening now.just look at what is happening in california they are allmost bankrupt because of the strain put on social services by illegals.
AJ do you consider those of us racist that want our government to enforce our immigration laws and our borders controled ? Last time I checked there was a border around the USA and we have millions of illegal immigrants (some etimates are 20-40 million) coming here and competing for low skill jobs. Now mr obama (and mr mccain)want to give legal paths to citizenship to these 20-40 million people and thier families plus create another guest worker program for even more cheap labor to come here.
The race card has been played enough, we’re all a part of the “Human RACE”. God made and loves us all. Blacks cry more than any other “race” and are the only group strongly represented by the NAACP. Best thing that can happen is we all live by the Bible and love one another; Be honest and work hard. Skin, the largest organ, doesn’t make a complete person. Abollish the NAACP and organizations of its type that keep 100+yr. old wounds and ill feelings alive. Pull together and move on!!!!!
LATINOS are part of this country and most of them are related to the indigenous people of the Americas. The U.S. needs to start repairing the racial injustice done to the people that built this country. Rascist people in the U.S. have this entitlement complex that they have certain rights over others. This country will never move forward until the U. S. government take action in repairing problems in their own backyard. Take WAR money and make repairs at home or donate to poor nations.
It is important to know, acknowledge and understand your history before you are able to determine where you are going. I will not bottle up my ancestors history and hide it to appease others (white people, oreos)and make them feel a little confortable. My father’s grandfather was a slave emancipated in his twenties, here I am at 35 with two Master’s Degrees dealing with INSTITUTIONAL RASCISM. Mr Bond is REMINDING young Black or African Amer. rascism is here just in a different form
These people applauding mr obama evidently do not know what his plans for America are.And they did not see his speach on sunday in front of the hispanic group called la raza. His plan for change in America would be to legalize 20-40 million illegal immigrants and thier families as well as create another guest worker program(we currently have 10)so that foriegn workers can take the few jobs we have left her in the usa.people really should wake up and see what these candiddates are up to.
How are we living in the past when certain events are still occurring today? I am 26 years old and even I have been judged based on the color of my skin. I had to get a physical at my current job and the doctor on site asked me was I going to be working in the file room? Why was the assumption made that I was only capable of working in the file room when several positions exists within the organization? It was apparent to him that my skill set couldn’t be beyond a file room. Racism still exists!

I, as millions of other Americans, welcome the day when the African people in this country embrace all that is good about America and move on from 150 years ago. Living in the past has been a great history lesson but furthers no cause today. Race relations in this country have improved dramatically since I was a kid 60 years ago. I fear those wanting to live in the past are only rejecting the country they now call home.
how do you know it is truly black Americans?
Are there not enough mixed races that you can really say this is a factual true statement. If it is not fact your numbers are wrong. Mixed races have health problems as well, do you know how many and should we have white american, black american and mixed american??
I think the most telling comment in this story is the part where it implies that many youths of color do not experience the overt racism that past generations have.
The need for segregationist organizations (if there ever was one) such as the NAACP and other race-based organizations, is happily dwindling.
Soon we can return to being “one nation (all races included) under God” instead of “many nations wanting special treatment under one government.”
