When did you last attend a county or state fair?

MANDY GROSZKO

MANDY GROSZKO, Fairborn: “It was the Ohio State Fair, probably in 1999. I liked the quilts. I went for the quilt show.”

DEONDRE HORNER

DEONDRE HORNER, Dayton: “It’s been years. I was a senior in high school, and it was in Nashville, Tenn. I actually vomited on a friend! Don’t ever go on one of those up-and-down rides after drinking a milkshake.”

KARLA PRACK

KARLA PRACK, Springfield: “It’s probably been at least five years since I went to the Clark County Fair. I like going to see the farm animals.”

TONYA SANKO

TONYA SANKO, Dayton: “We did the Darke County Fair last year. We do that one every year. It’s huge. There are lots of things to do and choose from, and we like all of it.”

TOM GROSZKO

TOM GROSZKO, Fairborn: “High school — 1995. It was something I always wanted to do, and in high school I had enough autonomy to go once or twice. But I haven’t gone since. I remember winning a poster of a rock band playing one of those fair games.”

Fifty-one years ago I proposed to my wife at the Darke County Fair. Maybe we’ll go back this year and renew our vows. That would be great.

I went to Ohio State Fair and saw David Cook in concert. That was (I think) 2 years ago, and the last time I went to a fair. Great concert.

When I was able to afford it, which has been quite some time.

Over fifteen years ago. Clark Co. fair livestock 4H is corrupt. Doping animals is a hallmark and winning is paramount. A particular family comes to mind.

A few years ago, I went to Montgomery County fair for the first time after many years of not going, it was dirty and disgusting! I don’t know where the crowds came from but most were scary! I went home and immediately showered - I am not making this up. I usually go to Darke, Adams, Warren County fairs and love them!

We always go to the Darke Co. Fair, it is always so much fun. Great food, concerts, and my son loves the animals. There had been talk of Mont. Co. Fairgrounds relocating to northern Mont. Co. I really wish they would, the fair at the current location is downright frightning, and we won’t go. It is a shame, I would love to enter my produce in the fair, but I don’t like to go to that one. Would love to see it improved.

Ya know, I really get put off by people jumping to rash conclusions about other people based on appearence only. I go to the Montgomery county fair every year to patronize the event. I have never once had a problem with anyone. Parking and traffic may have been a problem, but never had a problem with anyone inside. I also normally go to the Miami County fair, and last year I had the chance to go to my hometown fair in Allen County. What a great time that was. I havent been back home in Lima for over 20 years…

Fairs are the symbol of American hard work. Go and enjoy! Stop being critical for just one day of your lives! Fairs represent yrs. of American energy.

We go to Clark, Champaign, and Miami County Fairs as well as the State Fair every year. My kids participate in 4H @ Clark and we love going to all of them.I haven’t been to Montgomery in an awfully long time but it is discouraging to see some of the remarks - especially if there really is a Downtown Dayton 4H club. I’m sure they don’t showcase any drug craft talent and it is insulting to suggest they do. Dayton has issues - we the people need to solve them.

the last fair i went to was in 1997. America was on an upswing at that time. it was just before george w. bush was put in office. that was just before he spent one trillion dollars of taxpayers money on foolishness in iraq.

Never said I was an expert about fairs, just statement my opinion from my observations. I am not a snotty suburbanophile who makes rash judgements about people based solely upon appearence, but rather upon observable actions. I have never had a problem with any MC fair goer..

Don, Obama spent over 1 trillion dollars in one failed swoop—the fiasco Obamacare bill that no one wants. Why doesn’t he cut that program if he is serious about cutting the deficit and raising the debt ceiling? Anyway, back to the subject. I loved going to the State Fair, and hope to go again soon. It’s such a long drive though, and I’m having car problems,so…it may not be in the cards for me to go this year. I have gone to Montgomery County Fair a few times. I’ve never had any problems with the people there when I went. I haven’t gone in a while though.
