CAROL WEILAND, Centerville: “The Tea Party’s victories in the primaries indicate how dissatisfied people are with the current situation. And because of that, I think they have a really good chance in the general election.”

RONALD FLETCHER

RONALD FLETCHER, Dayton: “The Tea Party’s views tend to be a bit too much to the right, almost reactionary in nature. And that would probably alienate the more moderate Republican segment and dilute the traditional Republican vote. So I think the Democrats will benefit in November.”

FAY SAMBORSKY, Centerville: “I don’t think so. I tend to see the Tea Party as somewhat radical, and I think the mainstream will assert itself once we get all the voters in the mix.”

KEN LEIBROCK, Centerville: “No. They’re not credible with a broad enough base of more informed voters. So it depends on who votes.”
