KAREN JOHNSON

KAREN JOHNSON, Springboro: “I’m more cautious when I’m going out of the country. I wouldn’t use my credit cards there. I’m always excessively careful with my purse and other belongings.”

KELLY SHELTON

KELLY SHELTON, Riverside: “I use the same level of precaution that I would normally use at home, including keeping all receipts secured and not unnecessarily advertising where I’m staying or what my plans are.”

JANET COLLINS

JANET COLLINS, Dayton: “I try to keep my money separate from my credit cards; I don’t carry everything together. My sister-in-law went to Myrtle Beach and had a portable DVD player stolen out of her room.”

KEITH CHADD

KEITH CHADD, Xenia: “It depends on the location. Someplace here in the States, I don’t take extra precautions, because you have protection on your credit cards, typically. But if I go abroad, I only use American Express, and I lock things up in the hotel safe and keep my ID in my front pocket.”

We go to nudist camps, so we use the room safe, and don’t really have a problem with theft from us personally when we’re out and about.

I always carry my wallet inside a front shirt pocket…and sometimes a gun, just for fun, inside and outside my car, whether going near or far. CCW training, $75 at Miami Valley Shooting Grounds, and a CCW license is priceless.
