Gary Coleman funeral this weekend, parents want answers
The man who made What’chu talkin’ ‘bout, Willis?” famous will be laid to rest this weekend.
Sitcom star Gary Coleman’s funeral will be Friday or Saturday in Salt Lake City, Utah, according to The Salt Lake City Tribune.
His estrange parents, Willie and Sue Coleman, will attend, according to Usmagazine.
Earlier this week, they questioned how the former “Diff’rent Strokes” actor known for a hot temper died.
“We’re not pointing fingers at anyone, but we need to know exactly what happened,” Sue Coleman told People magazine. “We’re not angry. We’re just concerned. Did our son fall down the stairs? Did he fall in the bathtub? We need to have some closure on our son’s life.”
Coleman, 42, died Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage brought on by a fall Wednesday, May 26.
He sued his adoptive parents in 1989 over the handling of his money.
Though they rarely spoke, the Colemans said they always loved their son.
We never stole from our son,” Sue Coleman said according to PEOPLE. “We always had his best interests at heart. After we stopped hearing from him, we reached out to him anyway we could. Over the years, we sent him birthday and Christmas wishes through his agents and managers because we often had no phone number, no address to reach him. But we always hoped someday he’d come around.”
Though their marriage was rocky and included an appearance on “Divorce Court,” (watch clip above) Coleman’s wife, Shannon Price, is said to be devastated by his death.
“It’s been really hard on Shannon,” Coleman’s agent Shielia Erickson told the Tribune. “Today was the first day she could hold down food. We’ve been really worried about her health.”
Not saying anything, but It is all a little fishy.
