Here’s an inconvenient truth : Al and Tipper Gore separating after 40 years
Now we didn’t see this one coming.
Former vice president Al Gore and his wife Tipper are heading to Splitsville, according to the New York Post, USA Today and other sources.
“This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration. We ask for respect for our privacy and that of our family, and we do not intend to comment further, Politico.com reports the couple said in an email.
The Gores, parents to four children, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary two weeks ago.
Al Gore, an environmental champion, is behind the book and film “An Inconvenient Truth.” A photographer by trade, Tipper Gore campaigned for record labels on explicit songs.

I think Al is lucky ANY woman stayed with him for any amount of time. He is a dim wit. A rich dim wit, but still a dim wit. Oh and a liar too. Tipper will probably get a load of money, and in a few weeks we’ll see Al running around with a much younger woman who will also be a dim wit.

He should have kept his beard to ward off the chill. Can she keep him as ‘hollowgram?’

It is always a shame to see a long term marriage like the Gore’s fail, and I’m sure the late show comedians will have a lot of fun with it. As far as Al Gore’s global priorities go, I think he has been way off base.We have to concentrate on national security and fiscal responsibility or nothing else will matter. Its fine to do what we can now to protect our environment, especially air and water. The current disaster in the gulf of mexico is definately a “Now” priority and it is not a political issue. It is a horrible event no matter what party one supports. To backburner the important and immediate issues we face today and worry (with scare tatics)about environmental threats that might take place hundreds or thousands of years from now just does not make sense.

What a tizzy this will put poor Gore in. Will he blame it on Bush? Or will he blame it on global warming?
