Tennis champ admits crystal meth use

Yeah, crystal meth is clearly on the list of drugs banned by athletic federations.

In his new book, “Open,” tennis great and former lady killer Andre Agassi admits he used the dangerous narcotic regularly in the late ’90s, according to PEOPLE magazine.

More specifically, the Associated Press says the Olympic gold medalist and eight time grand slam winner used meth in 1997, the year he dropped to No. 141 in the rankings.

“I can’t speak to addiction, but a lot of people would say that if you’re using anything as an escape, you have a problem,” Agassi told PEOPLE.

More importantly perhaps, Agassi opens in his book about his hair loss and romances.

Passages from the memoir will be printed this week by PEOPLE and “Sports Illustrated.”

What do you think? Does this change the way you feel about Agassi?
