Ye olde Renaissance Festival bloge poste

No, mye spellinge is not that bad. It juste seemse to me, that if you adde an e to the ende of certain wordse, it makes the writing, medieval-lookinge, no?

OK, maybe not. But I did just post our look at this year’s Renaissance Festival, which starts this weekend in Harveysburg. But tell me what you think of RenFest, as it as shortly known? What do you like about it? What could stand to be better? What’s the appeal of jousting, oversized turkey leggs, and hot, stuffy costumes?

Faire is awesome! I’m going Monday, but not in costume—it’s just too hot.

Went Sunday with my wife and elementary age kids and their fifteen year old cousin. We all had a good time. The sight of people in costume, who really look and speak the parts, if intriguing. The giant smoked turkey leg was a hit as were the jousting and comedy shows. Check out Finche just to the left of the entrance gate. He is an extraordinary entertainer who gets better as his audience approves of his act. Parking was easy and so was exiting. Can’t stand paying $2.50 for a bottle of water. Bring your own water, but have some wine or ale while you’re there.
