So how was the Ohio Challenge this year?

So folks - how did the MidFirst Ohio Challenge go for you this year? What were the best attractions? What didn’t work so well.

And while we’re at it, what do you think of the Ohio Challenge in general? What do you like/not like? What would you like to see added/taken out?

Huh? Did they have that again? I’m sure that Ann will be telling us that attendance was pushing 100,000. (She must get paid by the person.) But since everyone saw it last year (twice) why go again? A balloon is a balloon is a balloon. No need to pay the outrageous admission and vendor prices for the same old tired stuff.

I love the hot air balloons. I took my kids when they were young and now I am taking my granddaughter. We went last year, this year and hopefully next year.

Mort claimed 65,000 at last years balloon thing when it rained all Saturday and was gray & cold on Sunday. Where does she get these numbers? I talked to a few vendors and they were shocked at hearing those numbers, They said they would have said close to 20,000 maybe. Are we just expected to buy her numbers because she tells us so? Where is the proof?

Try attending the event if you want to see those kind of numbers. If a Bengals game holds 64K, i would be willing to bet there were at least 25-30K there at one time on Saturday evening. It was another great event. Great job to Paula Hale and the committee.

i was there on saturday night and if there were 10,000 there i would be amazed. The capacity of the area is well known by those who use it for sports and other events. I also talked to some vendors and they expected more people.if friday was the big night then there was no way there was 65,000 over the weekend.

after spending a wonderful evening saturday at the festival with five of our grandchildren, we woke early sunday morning to balloons “dropping” flags at a target in the park next to our home. the officials that where there didnt hesitate to “scream” at two of our grandsons not to touch the flags. now there where three of us adults with the children and these “officials” had seen us there for over an hour!!!! where is it written that you yell at a child when an adult is standing in plain sight? the balloon festival was wonderful but i wonder
