What’s your take on the local movie theaters?

I’m working on a feature about local movie theaters - not so much your huge chains like Rave or Regal or National Amusements, but the smaller outfits like the Danbarry in Middletown, the Kerasotes in Hamilton, the By-Jo in Germantown, or the Holiday Auto drive-in in Hamilton.

What have your experiences been like at these places? Do you prefer to go to these theaters or to the mega-chains? And why do you go where you do?
