Free Christmas movies to show at Sorg Opera House
A number of Christmas movies will be shown at the Sorg Opera House in Middletown for the remainder of the month.
At 3 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 19 will be a double bill of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (the Jim Carrey version) and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”
At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20, “Grinch” will show again, followed by the 1970 movie “Scrooge,” with Albert Finney as the title character.
“The Santa Clause” will show at 3 p.m. Dec. 26, and “Home Alone” and Home Alone 2” will play starting at 3 p.m. on Dec. 27.
There is no admission charge for any Donations of canned goods will be accepted to help needy families, but a donation is not required, said Ed Hall of Road Apple Music, which organizes the screenings.
