Book discussions for adults at the Fairfield Lane Library

The Fairfield Lane Library, 1485 Corydale Dr., hosts Contemporary Book Night with a discussion of “The White Tiger” by Aravind Adiga, 7 p.m. Feb. 24.

Tim Callahan, author of “Sleepy Valley,” 7 p.m. Feb. 20, Barnes and Noble, 9455 Civic Centre Blvd., West Chester.

Sweet Honey in the Rock in Dayton Feb. 23

Sweet Honey in the Rock is on stage at the Schuster Center, 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. part of Victoria Theatre Association’s second African-American Arts Festival.

Tickets are priced $20 and $15 and are on sale now through Ticket Center Stage, at the Schuster Center box office, by phone at (937) 228-3630 or toll free (888) 228-3630.

An artsy Valentine’s date

The Cincinnati Art Museum hosts “A Night with Your Valentine,” Friday, Feb. 13.

The evening includes a four-course dinner, guided tours of romantic art from the museum’s permanent collection, a bottle of wine and a commemorative photograph taken of you and Hiram Power’s “Eve Disconsolate.”

There will also be a Jewelry Trunk Show, 2-8 p.m., in the gift shop, featuring jewelry by local artists and sterling silver charms that feature artwork from the Art Museum’s permanent collections.

Dinner seating at 6 and 7:30 p.m., gallery tours at 7:30 and 9 p.m. Snow date is Friday, Feb. 20.

Cost is $120 per couple, reservations required and can be made by calling (513) 721-2787.
