Are you sure that’s the United Way?
The Butler County United Way is warning Butler County residents someone — or more than one person — maybe attempting to solicit door-to-door donations.
United Way officials say: Don’t do this.
United Way officials say the Butler County Sheriff’s office in Liberty Twp. has been made aware of the issue. They say there’s been “a recent string of residential robberies involving an individual soliciting door-to-door for donations to United Way.”
Anyone in Liberty Twp. who’s been contacted by a person representing themselves as collecting for the United Way should contact the Butler County Sheriff’s office at (513) 785-1300.
If anyone outside of Liberty Twp. has been contacted, they should contact their police department or the sheriff’s office.
