Just more proof that the BCS system is broken - two non-BCS conference teams in the top 5!

No. 2, That’s funny. Only in Ohio. GO GATORS! We own the Buckeyes.

Mel, I’m also a ‘Gator (‘82) but have realistic expectations……maybe the SEC flag this year. Maybe that newspaper should note USC won’t go anywhere this year or probably next thanks to ‘Runaway Pete.’ But, you know, in Gainesville the BCS is rarely spoken of….Tennessee, GA, LSU, the Tide….those are our opponents, not some computer geek generating dribble about systems and polls.

I severely doubt the validity of these rankings. They have Oregon at #7, when half their starters have flunked out or are in jail.

Centerville Buckeye….(chuckle)…look at the history books and find when OSU last beat an SEC team….

“only in Ohio”?.. in case you are unable to read, the report is clearly from Texas.. and the Gators are going to fall very quickly without the beloved Teblow.. I see them losing two to three in the regular season against a very down SEC. Sorry, but the SEC is falling off and the Big 10 is getting stronger.

I think the buckeyes are the team to beat. That is if sweater boy doesn’t choke. He has no excuse..Lopsided home /away games ratio, great talent and a softy boys schedule.

Who gives a flying you know what? The Austin paper doesn’t determine the national champion. Why is this news? Every frickin newspaper that has a full-time college writer is going to have a top 25. Great reporting Maggie.

Note new Big 10 member Nebraska is ranked #10 - they are definitely back after four years in the wilderness under an idiot NFL coach who nearly destroyed them. Bo Pelini and the Huskers will make the Big 10 interesting starting in the 2011 season.

As a Buckeye by birth and Husker by choice, I’m really looking forward to Nebraska playing in the BIG TEN and having another team to beat Mich & Mich St!! In my forty years, I still root for the Buckeye’s.

Maybe the number 2 prediction is questioned, probably by the same so called experts who predicted a Buckeye beatdown by the Oregon Ducks in the Rose Bowl. The Buckeyes will be a force in this college football season.
