Is Ohio State just too boring to win?

Here’s the thought from The Wall Street Journal:

Can USC beat you with their Hollywood-like stage show as much as their hard-hitting defensive play?

In the dour confines of Ohio Stadium, the constant drumbeat of the USC band, the cheerleaders with the sultry sweaters, the celebrity coach with the pearly white teeth and the parade of massively recruited running backs will make a spectacle the likes of which Columbus has seldom seen. In contrast, Ohio State’s discipline, its Midwestern humility, its work ethic may suddenly seem small.

Could the Buckeyes, in fact, be on the down side of things because Ohio is, well, more boring that LA?

Psychologists argue that teams with mystique like USC can be intimidating to opponents. “Athletes are reluctant to admit it,” says Saul Miller, a sports psychologist based in Vancouver who has worked with college, pro and Olympic athletes, “but there’s no question: Some people are intimidated, whether it’s playing in a round with Tiger Woods or against an athlete with celebrity status. It’s a real phenomenon.”

I guess what they’re saying is: If you’re going to the game as an Ohio State fan, don’t show that you’re impressed by the USC theatrics. That’s just what they want.

Don’t give in to Will Ferrell and Snoop Dog.

Theatrics like that motivate me to play harder, and win bigger, sending them back to the filth from which they came!

Now that they mention it, I guess Ohio State really is some what boring. USC will handle them easily.

Hi I use the name nyc on the ddn boards. I post on everything because I have no job, no life and especially no woman. I will sponge off of people who work and give a damn all of my live because I don’t. This is my life. I will also say things to incite people on every article because once again, This is my life. Please pay no attention to me after this post, Then I might be motivated to actually get a job and be a productive human. Really, you’ll be doing me a favor. Keeping it real

I have serious reservations about the defense, I am hoping the frosh QB chokes.. but our defense looked quite boring last week, I don’t buy into the LA hype their all bunch of tree hugging liberals stars that think their poo dont stink. I am hoping that withthe loss of the SR QB and LB (Sanchez and malugula) they won’t be as strong. only time will tell

I think we are in for a surprise against USC saturday. Tressel has some tricks up his sleeve that involve Pryor and Bauserman and it was obvious that OSU ran a very standard offense against Navy to be sure not to give anything away. Going to be a heck of a game. OSU-27 USC-24

Yes, OSU is too dull to win. Not helping matters is the bird dung-looking stuff on their helmets. Leaves? On TV it just lloks like bird poop. Get rid of that, please!

OSU isn’t too boring to win, the need an offensive coordinator to win. Until that happens we will continue to see the same old stuff. Tressel needs to get over himself and find a young hungry good offensive mind.

Hi people. I have something to say, about AloeVera, something about which you wrote above, about health and weight loss management… For a long time, I and my fine friend use the products of the Forever Living Company. We at all times see the good results and also we make money for our families and we are happy. My friend works with Aloe vera in the company of Forever Living Products has more than 5 years (My friend works ONLY in the forever living products company and has a wife and three children). I know aloe Vera products for nutritional for a long time, but a year ago, began working as a distributor in the flp. Of course, this job is some difficult, but in no other case, You can earn so much much money with so much much fun and good smiling faces around. So if you want to discuss something about which you wrote above, and about my experience with Aloe vera products for weight management, I’ll always be glad to talk. Best regards from Washington and have a nice day! Andrew - Aloe Vera Distributor
