OSU is in a no-win situation against USC because there are so many media members who hate them. If they beat USC there will be an excuse because they don’t have Sanchez. If they lose, it will be magnified because they lost to them without Sanchez. Also, why doesn’t the media pound Bob Stoops and Oklahoma? They are 2-5 in BCS games with one title game loss. Tressel is 3-3 in the BCS with as many national titles as Stoops. Only difference is they have lost 2 title games but at least they were there.By buckeye

Go Bucks ! The Southern Cal Game is a big One on Sept 12th but The Midshipmen have a outstanding ” D ” -The best in several years + The Toledo rockets who beat Michigan Wolverines last season are absolutely loaded ( 19 ) players back . The Nittany Lions of Penn State are rated # 7 in the Country and Michigan St will be tough along with The Iowa Hawkeyes and Coach Kirk Ferentz . The Buckeyes get by the mighty Trojans of Southern Cal and beat the Nittany Lions in Happy Valley …. You’ll see the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl on Jan 7th .By Bob

Pre-season polls mean nothing. Winning means everything. Wasn’t USC in the same situation last year ? If they lost it meant OSU was better then them and if they won it meant OSU didnt have Beanie Wells ? Tressel is a class act but we aren’t getting the best talent at OSU. Its going to the SEC. Sure its nice to sit in the stands and cheer them but there is just better out there. Maybe Tressel going after the smaller more athletic players on the lines and a little more luck at the skill positions will get us where we want to be. GO BUCKS !!!By Jack

Hey Bob, how about a little recruiting slack? OSU is highly rated by everyone in their draft class every year. To say the best are going elsewhere is simply a matter of perspective. How about tuning down ESPN propaganda. Hell if they had it their way there would only be two teams in the MLB, two in the NFL and one each in the NBA and NCAA hoops. Give the coach a break it is in reality a very competitive business and most prospects believe in ESPNBy Bob

Facts are facts. Ratings are over rated. The SEC is faster, plays harder and play for play goes all out every down. I personally dont care for the SEC but I am a realist.By GenX
