The best position at Ohio State

Jordan Hall. Sounds like one of the New Kids on the Block, right?
Instead, he’s one of the Ohio State football team’s 25 recuits who signed national letters of intent today to play for the Buckeyes. Of course, if you’re a hardcore OSU fan, you already knew that.
You knew that Hall is from Jeannette, Pa., the same school as quarterback Terrelle Pryor. You might even know he averaged 8.5 yards per carry as a senior, one year behind Pryor. You might know still that he was also a 1,000-point scorer in basketball.
Many people who don’t follow recruiting at a consistent level, though, look at the list of today’s signees and notice Kenny Guiton because he’s a quarterback or Sam Longo (Bellbrook), C.J. Barnett (Northmont) and Adam Homan (Coldwater) because they’re from the Miami Valley.
But Hall might be in the best position of all of them, as far as pressure goes. Along with being a very good high school player, Hall remains in Pryor’s shadow. The Jeannette attention is exhausted, used up on the quarterback.
Hall is by no means a throw in. He was one of the first commitments to join the recruiting class, not a package deal to take Pryor. Pryor is carrying the Jeannette banner, not Hall. In many fans’ minds, whatever Hall does is icing.
One of the biggest problems major-college football players have is adjusting to the pressure. Hall has faced his share, no doubt, but in Columbus he’ll be asked about Pryor four times for every time he’s asked about himself. At least in the first year.
That will make his transition to Ohio State easier, and it could help him be a better player earlier for the Buckeyes.

blah, blah, blah If sweater vest knew how to coach he would actually win big games with these recruits. Ohio state has not beat a worthy opponent in a few years. If Tressel coached in the sec he would be .500 at best.

Are you kidding…You can’t win a national championship if you don’t play for it. I would have killed for a shot in the 90’s with Cooper. Even the great Larry Kehres at Mt. Union loses “the big game” sometimes. BCS games year in and year out is not a bad thing.

What haters…all you whiners who think OSU gets favoritism are only upset because your team SUCKS. If they do get favoritism it is because they are every year consistently one of the top teams out there. A bad year for OSU is a BSC game…man that must suck to know that even when you are down you get to play in the BCS. Suck for all you haters that is. How about giving Tressel the credit he deserves…he does have what 5 or 6 national titles. How many league titles…how many BSC games…how many wins period. How many SEC coaches can claim they have accomplished more…none…you have Spurrier who is has been…you have Saban who has 1 title…Georgia & Auburn who lets their fans down every year losing the big games…Florida is the only team in the SEC that consistently performs. The facts are you play in the conference you play in and a coach has little to do with it…what the coach can do is prepare his teams every year to compete for a championship and lets see Tressel has played for 3 National Titles (won 1) & won several Big 10 titles during his tenure as OSU Coach…dont hate the man because he has proven he is one of the greats.
