Father/son relationships can be complicated…
Today I reviewed a a novel called “The Poacher’s Son” for the Cox Ohio newspapers. Paul Doiron’s smashing literary debut is a murder mystery wrapped up within the frayed and twisted strands of a difficult father/son relationship.
On Father’s Day we hope to celebrate the positive aspects of paternal relationships. Of course there can also be darker elements which cannot be ignored. Ships do run aground. Fathers and sons can hit some rough patches. We cannot celebrate good things without tacitly acknowledging the not so good.
The author Paul Doiron noticed my review and he blogged about it on his blog today. To read his post click HERE:
Tune in to WYSO (91.3fm) this Friday afternoon (June 24) at 1:30 to hear my interview with Paul Doiron. His second book in this series; “Trespasser” will be published this week. You will gain some insights into how this series came about.
