Attracting men, money, and happiness…
A book just crossed my desk and it got me to thinking. The book is “Conquer the Cosmos - Use Astrology to Attract the Man, Money, and Happiness You Deserve” (Plume) by Bridgett Walther.
I have never been one to study astrology. But I keep encountering people who seem to regard it with great zeal, even respect. Some seem to allow it to dictate their actions - what they do - where and when they do it.
Then I recalled that our former First Lady Nancy Reagan was way into astrology, that she had an astrologer who made frequent visits to the White House. In fact it has been rumored that Nancy had so much influence on her husband Ronald Reagan that it is possible he made some important decisions with the guidance of astrology. While I am amazed to imagine such things ever happening I’m forced to give the thought some consideration.
The title of this book is self-explanatory. The author’s target audience is female. Cher wrote the forward to the book.
What do you think? Do you pay much attention to astrological signs? Do you have any thoughts about this subject? Please, leave your comments.

Hey, Vick - Thanks for the mention. Read it from beginning to end, and then tell me your thoughts. I’d like to hear. And, many years ago, I lived in Dayton and went to the now defunct Colonel White H.S. I am very interested in your opinion, Mr. Virgo. -bw-

When the moon is in the 7th house And jupiter aligns with Mars Then peace will guide the planets And love will steer the stars. Women are always worrying about their future.

Since there have been humans on the earth, they have striven to find some way to explain the unexplainable, make sense of the senseless and to try and attribute what happens to us as being controlled by some higher power who might enable us to understand. And we have looked to this imagined higher power for help in determining why things happen to us. Surely there must be a purpose, a reason why things happen the way that they do? All of this is done in an effort to try and give us comfort that we are not truly just victims of random happenstance in this universe; that there is a reason and a larger purpose behind all of the heartache, tragedy and misery which has befallen the human species in their short existence. Astrology, like the history of all religions, is simply a quest to find comfort in spite this uncomfortable likelihood and to reassure our own fearful and insecure nature.

Libra (sun) Aquarius (moon) Leo (rising)…no, I don’t pay much attention to it anymore.

I don’t mean to be suspicious or whine, but I suspect that after I win a big lottery, my sexual stars will align and I shall be fine, despite my being a hick and a sex addict, and I shall not boohoo, when I find a female sex addict too.
