What ever became of George W. Bush?

The former president has been keeping a low profile since leaving office nine months ago. He is reportedly working on a book about the toughest decisions that he had to make while he was president.

Usually former presidents hit the speech making circuit after leaving office. W’s father did it. Reagan did it. Clinton is still doing it. These are lucrative engagements and George W. Bush had not taken advantage of even one opportunity. Until now.

George W. Bush is now a motivational speaker. He just gave a speech. To read more about it click HERE:

IG, No it doesn’t bother me. They call Michael Jackson the “King of Pop” and I also could care less.

DS, does it still bother you that Ronald Reagan was voted the “Greatest American” on the Discovery Channel a few years back?

If they can rehabilitate Reagan’s administration, ANYTHING is possible.

With Cheney, Rush and Palin (Vick’s secret passion) hogging the stage, “W” hasn’t had a chance… “a beatdown”? seemed more like constructive criticism… the book he’s working on?… “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”… legacy?, I don’t need no stinkin’ legacy…

He’s probably preparing himself for his reward for selling us out. Clinton put the tee in the ground. Bush sat us on it. Now, Obama is whacking us. The three stooges: Bill, George, and Barry.

Well, TRS, W “endured a beatdown” by being seemingly oblivious. That is a gift to be sure…

Gotta admit that anyone who endured a beatdown like he did and continues to be a gracious, positive person may have a few good tips on how to get about in this world.

Vick, I think history will be kinder to Mr Bush than you and half of your commentators. Well, unless you write a book about him :-). I disagreed with some thing Mr B did, Borders, no child left behind, Harriet Myers, Dubai Ports, Tarp, etc, etc. But he kept our country safe from another attack. Mr Truman wasn’t too popular when he left office and his legacy benefited from the hindsight of history.

Interesting article. I’m actually glad he’s out and about. People need to see that we humans can survive the worst that others think about us.

He is laying low letting his predecessor make all the stupid mistakes and quietly taking pleasure in it.
