10 Fat Turkeys

Amazon.com sells a lot of books. I like to check their hourly sales charts on a regular basis just to see what books are hot.
I just checked out the chart and got a mild shock. A book called “10 Fat Turkeys” was in the top ten. It’s a children’s book (ages 4-8). It came out in 2004 and it is selling on Amazon right now for one cent. That’s right—a penny will get you “10 Fat Turkeys.”
I was stunned. How could that be?
I looked at the other books on the chart. They seemed like the books one might expect to be there. The last Harry Potter book was still there in the top spot. Everything checked out normal-until I got to #9 and it was “10 Fat Turkeys.”
Then, things got strange. There were a slew of older children’s books on the chart, one right after another.
Was the Amazon computer malfunctioning? Were some charts getting mixed up? I loved it.
Wait a minute. I just checked the Amazon list again (17 hours later) and “10 Fat Turkeys” is STILL among the top 50 best-sellers. Bizarre.
Does anybody know what is going on with “10 Fat Turkeys?” I’m stumped.

Perhaps people who can’t resist a bargain? What type of reviews did this book receive, in other words, did any of Amazon’s top reviewers give this book their seal of approval? I know reviewer Grady Harp sometimes reviews children’s books.
