Bengals sign safety Wilson

The Cincinnati Bengals add to their secondary by signing free agent safety Gibril Wilson.

The 6-foot, 205-pound Wilson finished second on the Miami Dolphins in tackles last season, with 91, playing every game with 14 starts. He had eight passes defensed. He was signed by Miami as a free agent for 2009 and was released by the Dolphins on March 5 of this year.

Wilson entered the NFL in 2004 as a fifth-round draft choice of the New York Giants. He played four seasons (2004-07) for the Giants and was with Oakland in 2008. He has NFL totals of 602 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 13 INTs, 31 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.
