Bengals sign Tahi to offer sheet

The Cincinnati Bengals have signed Minnesota Vikings restricted free agent fullback Naufahu Tahi to a 1-year, $1.4 millon offer sheet.

The deal includes a $500,000 signing bonus and $900,000 in base salary. Tahi’s agent David Lee of Players Rep Sports Management confirmed the signing today.

Tahi received the low-level tender of $1.01 million from Minnesota and because he was an undrafted free agent, the Bengals will not have to give up any draft picks as compensation if the team fails to match their offer.

The Vikings, who have expressed interest in fullback Leonard Weaver of the Seattle Seahawks, will have seven days to match the Bengals’ offer.

Great signing! The Bengals desperately need a fullback to block in pass protection and someone to blow open holes for whoever is running the ball. What’s next? How about signing Roy Williams, he was in for a workout yesterday.

Nice pick up, is a solid Fullback. The Bengals have made some good moves this off-season. They] actyually] do have a plan and tyhink noty re signing TJ was tyhe besty tyhing for the club. They will have a new look, they desperatly needed. we are quick to bash Mike Brown lets give a little credit when deserved. Hes spent some good money] on solid players this off-season. Fill the tackle and D line and we are good tyo go.

The signing of Tahi won’t make the Bengals any better, but he is a good player.

A good deal on a good player. I hope the Vikings elect not to match the offer sheet. He would be a very good blocker.

Wow… I am itchy… Has anyone figured out that the only way to get the Bengals good is to have a public lynching of Mike Brown and rid the world of him?
