Perhaps it’s because I am not from the area, but I do not see how Skyline can get so many votes. It is horrible. I’ve been to multiple locations and each time I have regretted it. It’s nothing like a good bowl of chili should be.

I like Gold Star slightly better better than Skyline but there’s not much difference. Surprised Subby’s didn’t make the list.

Skyline is the best. I used to hate chili. I used to whine when my friend wants to eat skyline. Don’t know it’s matter or not but I am Asian and we don’t normally eat chili! Oh….I order mine with red bean on top of the coneys.

You are absolutely nuts if you think Skyline has the best chili in Dayton. Tank’s is awesome. I am also quite suprised The Golden Nugget didn’t make the list. Just known for the breakfast, I guess.

Lucky’s in the Oregon is my favorite for fresh, tasty chilli. Plus you can wash it down with a great selection of craft brews.

Ladies and Gentlemen, The best chili in the world is Fred and Reds in Joplin MO on Main Street. In business since 1916, same building and I think the same stools, no tables. When in Joplin I get 50 lbs., pack it in dry ice and bring it home to Medway. If near Joplin give it a try.

Instead of making a joke out of this contest why don’t you just vote for your favorite. Try using this as a tool to find new places to try.

lets be real….if you have ever been outside of the city of dayton…you would know there is nothing here….fill up your tank…and step on the gas pedal…..they should raze this town and turn it into the worlds largest truckstop….and that would be its claim to fame…they actually think they have an international airport…what a joke…..YOU CAN NOT CATCH A PLAIN HERE AND FLY OUTSIDE OF THIS COUNTRY….SO PATHETIC….and i have never met anyone that said…they want to vacation here..lol….if you want chili…make your own

Wow! Such unveiled anger and resentment. It’s a local poll of places you can eat chili people…. simmer down…. it’s supposed to be fun & maybe help you to locate a new favorite! —- I’m sure that Texas/Missouri/NYC, everywhere else in the country has great chili; and yes, homemade chili is probably the best no matter where you go, —- Although I’m usually anti-chain restaurant when casting “Best” votes, I still have to give the nod to my favorite Cincinnati style chili, Skyline! It’s unique, and our family loves it. In fact, my father, who now lives out of state, makes it a requirement when he visits, that we visit a Skyline at least once whenever he’s here. Looking forward to checking other local suggestions out though! Have fun, live long, keep the peace!
