Where is Stafford’s? You have chain jewelry stores, but not Stafford’s and this is a contest for “Dayton’s” best store? Um. Okay. If you say so.

Rapp Jewelers in Englewood is the best in the area. Surprised they are not one of the nominees. Only downside to Rapps’ is they are in the God-forsaken city of Englewood.

Check out Rita Caz jewelry in Yellow Springs. Great choices from funky to classic, brass and copper to gold and platinum, and over 25 years of fabulous, friendly service. Repairs, custom design, they do it all.

I think the best place to go to get really nice jewelry in the Dayton area would be Cashland, there are a number of pawn shops around the area and they really do have very nice, top of the line, great quality jewerly for a very good price. If you have never been to a Cashland Pawn Shop before i really urge everyone to go, check it out!!

If you haven’t tried Hall’s in Sugarcreek, then you haven’t tried the best. It is a locally owned company. He has been around for better than 20 years, I believe. Larry is a super nice guy and very personable. He cares about the customer and it shows. They do book products as well as custom pieces. Check them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Elizabeth Diamond Company is head and shoulders above all area jewlers for style, service and value. James Free is overpriced and pretentious. When I was last in that store they made me feel that they were doing me a favor to simply wait on me.

EDC sells what you will wear not what sits in the jewelry box that eventually is sold as scrap! Keep up the great service … Although you may think about getting a cat!

Elizabeth Diamond Company is the only one that should be on this list. They are leaps and bounds better than the competition, and have a selection that no one can match. Go to James Free if you want to pay triple over what you could get the same piece for elsewhere.

My family has used James Free jewelers for years, back when Jim was living. No other jewelers even comes close to the quality, price and service of James Free. James Free is the most established, reputable jewelers. They carry the top of the line jewelry in regards to quality and designers. We love Eric because of the personal attention he gives his patrons and his knowledge of their merchandise. From the moment you walk in the door, you are treated like royalty. It’s always a joy and a delightful experience to visit James Free!
