Vectren chief heads arts campaign

Culture Works, the Miami Valley’s united arts fund, has gotten a head start on its next campaign by naming Colleen Ryan as chair of the 2011-12 drive.

President of Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio, Ryan was previously commander of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and vice president of aerospace and defense for the Dayton Development Coalition.

Culture Works’ annual campaign provides the largest single source of private funding for arts and culture in Dayton.

President and chief executive Martine Meredith Collier said the 2011-12 drive will be “critically important as we focus on expanding our funding base, increasing the number of workplace-giving sites and develop new efficiencies.”
