DCDC shares ADF stage with Evidence
The Dayton Contemporary Dance Company’s performances at the 2011 American Dance Festival in Durham, N.C., were well received.
The troupe directed by Debbie Blunden-Diggs presented “Vespers,” by Ulysses Dove, and “Rainbow ‘Round My Shoulders,” by Donald McKayle, on a program shared with New York choreographer Ronald K. Brown’s troupe Evidence.

TweetCasts set for Futurefest plays
Casting has been announced for the six new plays that will be produced during Futurefest 2011 on July 29-31 at the Dayton Playhouse, 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave.
Plays, directors and casts will be as follows.
“Drawing Room” by Mark Eisman, directed by Matthew Smith: Rachel Wilson, Annie Pesch and Mark Jeffers.
“Roosevelt’s Ghost” by Michael Feely, directed by Saul Caplan: David Shough, Debra Kent, Debra Strauss, Charles Larkowski, Michael Stockstill and Dave Nickel.
“The Haven” by Richard Etchison, directed by Fran Pesch: Megan Cooper, Danny Lipps, Deirdre Root and Richard Young.
“Allegro Con Brio” by Nelson Sheeley, directed by Nick Moberg: Michael Boyd, Cheryl Mellen and Matt Curry.
“Jinxed” by Stacy Luftig, directed by Richard Brock: Wendi Michael (as Amelia Earhart), Kate Smith, Mike Taint, Matt Turner, Franklin Johnson, Cynthia Karns and Mike Rousculp.
“Woman on the Cusp” by Carl L. Williams, directed by Ray Gambrel: Lynn Kesson, K.L. Storer, Scott Knisley and Cher Collins.
