‘Billy Elliot’ on Cincy stage lineup
The 2011-12 Broadway series at Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center for the Arts will include first-time musical offerings “Billy Elliot” and “The Addams Family,” along with the return of “Wicked” and “Les Miserables.”
Dates and the entire season will be: “Beauty and the Beast,” Sept. 27, Oct. 9; “Wicked,” Nov. 2-26; “Billy Elliot the Musical,” Jan. 18-29, 2012; “West Side Story,” Feb. 28-March 11, 2012; “Addams Family,” March 27-April 8, 2012; “Mamma Mia!,” May 1-6, 2012, and “Les Miserables,” May 8-13, 2012.
Season tickets are now on sale at www.broadwayacrossamerica.com or (800) 294-1816. Prices for a six-show package including either “Mamma Mia” or “Les Miz” range from $168-$545.

For $168 I could go to 2 Bengals games, 5 Reds games, 15 Skyline meals or 100 ice cream cones. The masses cannot afford culture.

The cheapest price for a single ticket to a Bengals game is $65, so tickets to six Broadway shows are cheaper than 3 Bengal games (plus you’ll have a lot better view of the action from the back of an auditorium than the top of a stadium!)
