Seed Theatre shuts down

Founders Adam and Michelle Leigh announced Wednesday, Feb. 9, that they are discontinuing their emerging Seed Theatre Project, based at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Community Center on Keowee Street, Dayton.

Since its launch in November 2009, the non-profit organization has been plagued by bad luck. A production of “Grey Gardens” was postponed due to a key cast member’s desertion shortly before the opening. Most recently, “Almost, Maine” was cancelled due to the weather.
