Janney speaks up for Muse Machine

The part of the Giant doesn’t require a big star, but it will have one when the Muse Machine presents the musical “Into the Woods” Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 13-16, at the Victoria Theatre, First and Main streets.

Dayton native Allison Janney, who has starred on television (“The West Wing”), in film (“Juno,” “American Beauty”) and on Broadway (“9 to 5”) has recorded the lines of a character that is never seen, but is a foreboding and ominous presence for others besides Jack of the Beanstalk.
