USAC Midgets at Lawrenceburg
The United States Auto Club (USAC) Midgets will be the featured attraction June 11th at Lawrenceburg Speedway.
Darren Hagen of Riverside, Calif. leads the USAC Midgets points standings. Hagen won the $20,000 “Night Before the 500” USAC event in Indianapolis last month.
The Lawrenceburg event is part of a 5-race Indiana Speedweeks tour. They’ll race at Gas City —69 Speedway tonight (Wednesday), Putnamville’s Lincoln Park Speedway on Thursday, Bloomington Speedway on Friday, then Lawrenceburg on Saturday and concluding the Indiana tour with a Sunday event at Kokomo Speedway.
Hagen is three points ahead of Bobby East in the current series standings, with defending champion Bryan Clauson third. Clauson won the 2009 “Indiana Midget Week” title.
The night’s racing will also include the Lawrenceburg Chevrolet Sprint Cars and Budweiser UMP Modifieds.
Admission is $20 for adults, kids 7-12 $7 and those under 6 get in free. Pit passes are $30 each for all ages.
Grandstands will open at 5 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6 p.m.
